White Sox Roasted For Having One Of Worst Grounds Crews In History Of Baseball

What the hell is this?

2024 was a disastrous season for the Chicago White Sox, and here in 2025, things aren’t getting any better.

The game Sunday between the White Sox and Los Angeles Angels was slapped with a delay when Rate Field was hit with a downpour of rain and hail during the seventh inning. Not much longer afterwards, wind started chopping in. They don’t call it the “Windy City” for nothing! (RELATED: Minor League Baseball Team Reveals What Is Easily Most Legendary Hot Dog Of All-Time)

Well, the grounds crew of the White Sox apparently had no idea that this weather was coming, because they appeared to be completely caught off guard when everything popped off.

While the crew was running across the field to put out the tarp, they couldn’t get the entire infield covered because of the weight of the rain. Making it halfway, the tarp ended up getting stuck, which forced the crew to get ahold of anything in sight to make sure the rest of the infield was protected.

You can watch the video of the wild scene here.

Being an absolutely embarrassing look for a Major League Baseball team, social media absolutely drilled the White Sox for it.

The White Sox organization can’t catch a damn break.
