White House Roasts Dems Over Embarrassing ‘Choose Your Fighter’ Video [WATCH]

Congressional Democrats sparked widespread mockery this week after releasing a “choose your fighter” video featuring female lawmakers mimicking a video game character selection screen.

The clip, which was meant to showcase their strength, instead drew criticism and ridicule, particularly following their behavior during President Donald Trump’s joint Congressional address on Tuesday.

The video, released on Thursday, featured Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), and other female Democrats bobbing up and down while holding their fists in the air as if they were video game characters waiting to be selected for battle.

As RedState contributor Bonchie described it, the video was an attempt at empowerment that instead came across as an over-the-top political stunt.

Adding to the embarrassment, Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who had already faced criticism earlier in the week for an unrelated music video stunt, appeared in this latest clip as well.

The video followed another highly choreographed effort by Democrats earlier in the week, where several lawmakers put out nearly identical scripted videos repeating the same talking points.

That effort also failed to gain traction and instead raised concerns over coordination and authenticity within the Democratic Party.

Shortly after the Democrats’ “choose your fighter” clip began circulating online, the Trump White House responded with a mock version of the video.

Instead of Democrats posing for the camera, the revised version featured actual leaders, including:

  • President Donald Trump
  • Vice President JD Vance
  • Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth
  • Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard

The Trump administration’s version of the video emphasized real-world leadership over performative politics, showcasing their active role in addressing national issues.

Vice President JD Vance also posted his own response to the Democrats’ video, highlighting a clip of himself alongside Hegseth and Gabbard as they prepared to visit the southern border on Thursday.

The trip to the border underscored the administration’s commitment to national security and immigration enforcement, contrasting sharply with the Democrats’ staged political messaging.

Amid the controversy, a widely shared image from the Trump team’s video response quickly went viral, reinforcing the administration’s message of strength and leadership.

In addition, President Trump repeated one of his signature lines from his Tuesday address, a statement that has become a defining phrase of his presidency:

“America is back.”

The phrase, which Trump has often used to rally supporters, once again gained traction, with many Americans celebrating what they see as a return to strong leadership.

Instead of rallying support, the Democrats’ “choose your fighter” video has been widely mocked online, with critics calling it tone-deaf and out of touch with real political concerns.

Many conservatives pointed out that staged social media performances do little to address pressing national issues.

In the aftermath of the 2024 election cycle, the contrast between substance and spectacle is becoming increasingly clear.
