Welcome To Florida: Alligator And Crocodile Get Into One Of Wildest Animal Brawls You Will Ever See

People who took a visit to Everglades National Park recently got the experience of a lifetime when an American alligator and American crocodile were seen brawlin’ it out in a wild scrap! (RELATED: Fishermen Get Score Of A Lifetime After Catching Gargantuan Great White Shark)

The modern-day dinosaurs, who appeared to be in a battle over territory (the sidewalk) in regards to who was going to get the glorious South Florida sunlight to beam on their scaly bodies, were spotted on camera snapping and hissing at one another near the Everglades’ Shark Valley Observation Tower.

In the footage that’s now going viral, the gator and croc both got in a few good chunks, with both beasts bleeding from the fight. Eventually, the alligator walked away from the scene and the crocodile took home the victory … err … the sidewalk.

Ahh … this is just another one of those videos that makes me so proud to live in Florida.

As a matter of fact, here’s a fun one for you: The Sunshine State is the only spot in the globe where American alligators and American crocodiles are in the wild together, per the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

And FYI, if you don’t know, alligators have a nose that’s more rounded while crocodiles’ noses are more sharp. That’s truly the easiest way to tell the difference. That’s just in case somebody doesn’t know out there.
