Just Stop Oil: We Will Stop Protesting
Just Stop Oil says it’s giving up on protests. In an email to supporters the eco-terrorists claim “initial demand to end new oil and gas is now government policy, making us one of the most successful civil resistance campaigns in recent history. Just Stop Oil will continue to tell the truth in the courts, speak out for our political prisoners and call out the UK’s oppressive anti-protest laws. We continue to rely on small donations from the public to make this happen.”
JSO explains it is “creating a new strategy, to face the reality of runaway global heating, mass death, economic collapse, and rising fascism and to carry our responsibilities at this time. Nothing short of a revolution is going to protect us from the coming storms.” Guido would not be surprised if the glue and hi-vis came back out of the cupboard before too long…
They say there will be “one last action” on 26 April on Parliament Square: “This will be a lower-risk action and we won’t be pushing for arrest.” Giving up on protests because all the eco-loons are already in prison…
