The BizSec claims the discrepancy in his LinkedIn “covered the same dates and did not suggest a sequential development from trainee to qualification.” He interestingly suggests there have been other periods when he referred to himself as a solicitor: “There may have been times when I have used similar brevity, without any intention to mislead, but for which I again apologise unreservedly. It was never an attempt on my part to mislead.” Well that’s fine then…

The SRA is still investigating Reynolds for his use of a legally-protected term. It will have to think carefully about whether Reynolds is to be let off the hook for his numerous lapses of discipline…
