On Friday night, President Donald Trump announced that he will be tapping a Fox News contributor to serve as his Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).
Posting his decision to X, Trump lauded Sara Carter as an “Award Winning Journalist” who has “been on the front lines” of the war on drugs for decades.

Sara is an Award Winning Journalist, who has been on the front lines of this International Fight for decades. From Afghanistan to our Border, Sarah’s relentless pursuit of Justice, especially in tackling the Fentanyl and Opioid Crisis, has exposed terrorists, drug lords, and sex traffickers. As our next Drug Czar, Sara will lead the charge to protect our Nation, and save our children from the scourge of drugs,” he wrote.
Carter confirmed the momentous appointment on X, vowing to do everything she can to combat the deadly epidemic of drugs on American streets.
