Trump Honors Jesus at Easter, Mocks Biden’s 2022 Bunny ‘Rescue’ [WATCH]

President Donald Trump hosted the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, where he delivered remarks that highlighted his administration’s renewed focus on faith and tradition while drawing a contrast with the previous administration.

Standing alongside First Lady Melania Trump and the Easter Bunny, President Trump addressed attendees gathered for the celebration on the White House lawn.

During his speech, he made a light-hearted reference to an incident involving Joe Biden and the Easter Bunny during a 2022 appearance.

“Do you remember the bunny with Joe Biden? Remember? Do you remember when the bunny took Joe Biden out?” Trump said, as Melania smiled and the Easter Bunny, in costume, covered his mouth in reaction.

“He’s not taking Trump out,” Trump added, joking.

“Anyway. That was a good — that was a beautiful moment. When the bunny saved Joe Biden.”

The comment referenced a widely circulated video from April 2022, when Biden, during an Easter event, was interrupted mid-sentence by an individual in an Easter Bunny costume.

Biden had been speaking to reporters about Afghanistan before the person in costume — later identified as Meghan Hays, then a senior communications aide — quickly stepped in, stood between Biden and the press, and directed him away from the interaction.

Footage from the event showed Hays physically leading Biden away from the media, a moment that drew attention across social media and political commentary platforms.

This year’s Easter celebration at the White House, under the Trump administration, also emphasized the religious significance of the holiday.

In his remarks, President Trump made clear the importance of honoring Christian values.

“And speaking of special, Easter is special, and it’s one of our favorite days,” Trump told the crowd.

“It’s one of our favorite periods of time.”

“We’re honoring Jesus Christ, and we’re going to honor Jesus Christ very powerfully throughout our lives, all throughout our lives — not just now. All throughout our lives,” he continued, receiving applause from the crowd.

The President added that his administration is actively promoting the role of religion in American life.

“We’re bringing religion back in America. We’re bringing a lot of things back, but religion is coming back to America,” Trump said.

“That’s why you see the kind of numbers that you see, the spirit and the kind of numbers that you see.”

He concluded his remarks with a message of optimism and celebration.

“So we’re going to come down and join you right now, but I just want to wish everybody, once again, happy Easter and enjoy your lives. We’re going to have our great four years. Thank you very much, everybody,” Trump said.

The contrast between the current White House celebration and previous ones under the Biden-Harris administration has been noted by observers, especially after last year’s controversy when the Biden White House issued a proclamation marking Transgender Day of Visibility on Easter Sunday.

This year’s White House event under President Trump centered on traditional Easter activities, faith, and public service, aligning with the administration’s broader theme of restoring foundational values and religious heritage in American life.
