Trump defends SCOTUS Justice Amy Coney Barrett as a ‘very good woman’ after she joins leftists on ruling

President Donald J. Trump defended Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett after the conservative jurist joined with leftists on a key ruling forcing the administration to pay out nearly $2 billion in foreign aid last week.

Barrett, who was appointed by Trump, sparked criticism after she was the swing vote in a 5-4 ruling that upheld the demand by a rogue Biden lower court judge that Trump couldn’t freeze the payments through USAID, an agency that has now been exposed as a corrupt money laundering conduit for Democrats and their allies.

“She’s a very good woman. She’s very smart, and I don’t know about people attacking her, I really don’t know,” the president told reporters on Sunday when he was asked about criticism of Barrett and whether he regretted putting her on the bench.

“I think she’s a very good woman. She’s very smart,” Trump added.

Since becoming the historic third Supreme Court justice appointed by Trump during his first term, Barrett has angered some conservatives for being wishy-washy on some issues, the latest being the validation of Canadian-born U.S. District Judge Amir Ali’s activism.

Ali was one of the judges who was rammed through in the final days of Joe Biden’s presidency and has already proven to be someone who can be relied on for favorable rulings in the lawfare cases to thwart the Trump administration’s reforms of a government that has become overly bloated, inefficient, and corrupt.

Barrett’s siding with the leftists also impressed Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), a top congressional resistance leader who served up rare praise for a conservative justice during a Friday panel appearance at Washington’s Politics and Prose bookstore.

“It’s shocking that was a five-to-four decision instead of a nine-to-zero decision. It tells you what treacherous waters we’re in. But let’s hear it for Amy Coney Barrett standing up for the Constitution,” he said of Barrett’s validation of Ali’s encroachment on Trump’s Article II powers, drawing applause from the crowd.

A shameless liar, Raskin also echoed the falsehood that Trump’s shout out to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) during his speech to a joint session of Congress when he referred to her as “Pocahontas” was a racial slur and not a reference to her history of grossly exaggerating her Native American ancestry to curry favorable treatment to advance her career.

Raskin’s grossly misleading remarks came as he objected to the bipartisan censure of Rep. Al Green (D-TX), who was escorted from the chamber after he disrupted Trump’s speech and menacingly shook his cane at the president.

“Al Green was making a very strong, valid, substantive point, which is there is no mandate to destroy Medicaid. The vast majority of Democrats rejected the idea of censuring him. And really, if we were censuring anybody, it should have been Donald Trump, who I don’t think had been back to our chamber since he incited a violent insurrection against us. And then he used his pulpit in order to call a sitting member of the United States Senate Pocahontas. So I think a racial and ethnic slur from the president was a far greater insult to the dignity and decorum of our chamber,” he said during a weekend MSNBC appearance.
