A transgender teacher in Texas resigned after a video celebrating how students had embraced a pronoun change went viral.
“In light of recent attention, Red Oak High School English teacher Sandri has resigned, effective March 31, 2025,” the school in the Red Oak ISD in Texas announced, referring to Rosalyn Sandri. “Any other information is a personnel matter, and we are not at liberty to discuss.”
Texas State Representative Brian Harrison called for Sandri’s resignation after seeing the TikTok video posted by the teacher who was self-described as a transgender goddess. The Libs of TikTok account on X shared the video, racking up over six million views.
As the State Representative for Red Oak ISD, I am demanding that THIS TEACHER BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED!
Public schools (and the property taxes that fund them) are for education… not leftist indoctrination!
I am in communication with @redoakisd and will keep you posted. https://t.co/NmXuk3hL2t

“When I told them I changed my pronouns, they jumped right into it,” Sandri said, praising sophomore students for giving a sense of “gender euphoria” to the English teacher. “They call me ma’am, they call me miss… it is incredibly affirming.”
Harrison spoke with 9News about Sandri’s resignation, saying, “Schools are for education, not indoctrination.”
“Teaching children, minors, that boys can become girls, and girls can become boys is at odds with objective reality. And the biological reality is that there are only two sexes,” he added.
Any public school teacher who claims to get “gender euphoria” from their minor students and teaches them that boys can become girls should be FIRED IMMEDIETLY!
Schools are for education, not liberal indoctrination.

The teacher discussed with the outlet the backlash and the threats made in emails and messages, sharing, “I got a notice that told me to eat a bullet.”
“When I resigned, I felt like I was signing away my ability to teach in the state of Texas. I don’t know that another school will touch me now,” Sandri said. “Being a teacher is all I ever wanted to do since I was five years old.”
Harrison shared an update with constituents after Sandri’s resignation.
“Three days after I demanded this teacher in my district be fired, I am pleased to announce he is no longer a teacher at Red Oak ISD,” the lawmaker wrote on X. “Proud to have helped deliver this victory to protect Texas students.”
