Oh man, I need to add this car to my diecast collection.
Brothers Justin Fox and Austin Fox took a trip Monday to Front Row Motorsports to take a gander at a car that will be raced at Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. And not just any car, one that will be honoring their great grandfather.
“It was awesome,” said Justin to NBC Sports. “I know my dad’s very excited for it. My brother is. Our whole family is just really excited. It’s a thrill moment to see it come to life and how good they made it.” (RELATED: The 2025 Masters Was Simulated 1,000 Times By Supercomputer — Here’s Who Won The Green Jacket)
The No. 34 car of Todd Gilliland, which races for Front Row Motorsports, will honor Ray Fox — a NASCAR legend. Fox was an absolute wiz kid in his era of racing, and on top of that, he’s on the verge of being in the NASCAR Hall of Fame as an early nominee. Tribute will be shown to Fox in a paint scheme that will be displayed during throwback weekend at Darlington.
Fox was a NASCAR car owner, NASCAR engine inspector and American engine builder. In his career, Raymond Lee Fox, Sr. won 14 NASCAR Grand National Series races and landed 16 pole positions.

There’s always something special about Darlington, so Todd Gilliland and Front Row Motorsports are choosing the perfect race to honor a legend like Ray Fox.
I’ll be tuned in Sunday to check out the flash and dash.
