TikTok Threat Prompts Warning From Sec. Kristi Noem [WATCH]

A disturbing video posted on TikTok recently called for violence against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, urging viewers to “shoot at ICE agents on sight.”

The video, uploaded by the user belal_donq, quickly garnered attention, with the user stating, “Shoot at ICE agents on sight. That’s right. If ICE agents are trying to take you or a loved one, shoot them on sight.”

The TikTok user claimed that ICE agents had been arriving in unmarked vehicles and wearing masks, making them unidentifiable.

“The way they’re pulling up with masks on, with unmarked vehicles, no badge, no nothing. It could be anybody. It can be gang members. You have every right to shoot at them,” he continued.

“This would be the best self-defense case. You’re just in fear for your life. You don’t know who’s behind that unmarked vehicle or who’s behind that mask.”

In the video, belal_donq expressed frustration with the way ICE agents operate, questioning their motivations.

“What is our country coming to? Why would you want to be an ICE agent anyway? Do you like separating kids from their parents? Do you like deporting students that are studying? I can understand deporting a gang member or criminals. But innocent people. It’s ridiculous.”

He went further to liken the agents’ actions to those of organized crime, saying, “They’re pulling up like the Mafia. You might as well shoot them on sight and have your day in court.”

The video was flagged by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who took to social media to denounce the threat.

In a post on X, Noem vowed to take action against the individual responsible for the video.

“If you threaten or attempt to harm a law enforcement officer we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” she wrote.

Following inquiries from Fox News Digital, the video was taken down by belal_donq on Sunday evening.

National Border Patrol Council Vice President Hector Garza condemned the video, calling the rhetoric not only dangerous but also an incitement to violence.

“This kind of rhetoric is not only dangerous, it incites real-world violence and undermines the rule of law,” Garza said in a statement.

“Our agents risk their lives every day to protect this country, and they deserve to do their jobs without fear of being targeted simply for wearing the uniform.”

Garza also urged social media platforms to take swift action against content that promotes violence.

“Free speech does not extend to inciting criminal acts, and allowing such content to remain online puts lives at risk,” he added.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns about violent and harmful content on social media platforms.

Just days earlier, TikTok had removed the hashtag “#CartelTok” from its search engine after it was discovered that cartel members were using it to promote illegal activities and recruit human smugglers.

A TikTok spokesperson confirmed that the platform had removed “#CartelTok” as well as the accounts of known cartel leaders who violated the platform’s policies.

TikTok, along with other social media giants such as Snapchat, Meta (the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp), has previously committed to cracking down on content that promotes illegal activity or violence.

Representatives from these companies have stated that they enforce policies to identify and remove such content as it appears.

The video by belal_donq serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges social media platforms face in moderating harmful content and the potential dangers of unchecked online rhetoric.

As law enforcement agencies continue to contend with these threats, the call for stronger action to curb violence and hate speech online is likely to grow.
