This Has To Be The Worst Moment Of Spring Training That An MLB Manager Has Ever Had To Suffer Through

Pain … pure pain.

Rob Thomson, the manager of the Philadelphia Phillies, spoke with ESPN during an in-game interview Wednesday while his team was in a spring training contest against the Detroit Tigers in Florida. With that being said, he didn’t say much, and you’ll see why.

To explain the wild video, Thomson was forced to be a spectator to his pitcher Jesús Luzardo giving up three consecutive home runs on three straight pitches. Happening in the bottom of the second inning, the moment couldn’t have had worse timing as Thomson was trying to chop it up with the four-letter-network. To start the scene off, Tigers center fielder Jahmai Jones knocked a homer off Luzardo, which led to ESPN calling the pop as they always do.

“Looked like a changeup,” Thomson said awkwardly.
