During Tuesday night’s episode of The Daily Show, left-leaning media personality Charlamagne tha God took the opportunity to torch two of the Democrat Party’s top brass—Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, as reported by Breitbart.
But instead of shielding his usual political allies, Charlamagne delivered a direct hit:
“Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer need to be primaried and thrown out of office.”

That wasn’t a slip of the tongue. He doubled down immediately after saying it, knowing full well it would rattle the Democrat base. And based on the roaring applause from the studio audience, it did just that.
Charlamagne’s blunt critique didn’t hold back—he called Jeffries a “business casual Morpheus” and said Schumer just doesn’t have the grit needed to challenge President Donald Trump.
Let that sink in: even one of the Left’s own media darlings has no confidence in Schumer to go toe-to-toe with Trump.

Instead, Charlamagne threw some rare praise toward Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), who had just wrapped up a marathon speech on the Senate floor.
“He’s only talking, but he’s talking a lot, so I’ll take it.”
He likened Booker’s long-winded display to “the political version of phone sex,” which, in his view, beats the complete inaction that’s plagued Democrats for months.
He wasn’t done swinging. Charlamagne continued his monologue by ripping into the Democrat Party’s weak-kneed approach over the last quarter of a year.
“Nothing is what it seems like the Democratic Party has been doing for the last three months.”
To his credit, Charlamagne at least attempted to rally his own side. He pointed to Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) as a rare example of “authenticity and fight” within Democrat ranks.

But his solution wasn’t exactly traditional—he suggested Democrats should be willing to do anything, even “get in a roast battle with a wheelchair-bound senior citizen” to show they’re serious about fighting back.
Let’s be real. When the Left’s own media favorites are torching Democrat leaders and begging for action, that’s not just a sign of party division—it’s a full-on warning flare.
If Charlamagne’s words resonate with younger liberal voters, the old guard of Schumer and Jeffries may have more than just Republicans to worry about.
In another interesting twist, he stated that he wished CNN had more commentators like conservative analyst Scott Jennings, adding:
“I think Scott actually gives a f*ck a little bit.”

That kind of blunt honesty just might explain why Charlamagne’s critiques are landing harder than anything coming from the Democrat bench lately.
Meanwhile, the Democrat establishment is crumbling under the weight of its own apathy—and even their loyal talking heads are starting to notice.
