‘These Players Are So Sensitive’: Kendrick Perkins Blasts LeBron For Constant Complaining About How NBA Is Covered

Tell us how you really feel, Kendrick!

NBA legend Kendrick Perkins has thrown some fuel into the fire in regards to the tension between Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and the media. Perkins’ comments came after LBJ’s interview on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Winning a title in 2008 with the Boston Celtics, Perkins has a problem with James’ constant complaining about how things are covered within the NBA. While speaking with McAfee, James said he began his podcast with Lakers head coach J.J. Redick due to the coverage of the league getting away “from the essence of the game of basketball.”

“He needs to stop. LeBron James needs to stop. I’m so sick of him with, ‘Oh, how the league is covered,’ because he wanted to be covered in a certain way that he wants it to be covered,” said Perkins on ESPN’s “First Take.” (RELATED: ‘This Man Is In His Feelings’: Stephen A. “This is what it comes down to with LeBron.

“And look, I’m a big LeBron fan. … The problem I have is, one, everything that comes out of LeBron James’ mouth ain’t the damn gospel. No. 2, we’re in 2025, it’s a different era. Dammit, you have to adjust. But here’s the thing, the coverage of the NBA, in my opinion, has been the same since I’ve arrived in the NBA.”

Perkins made the point that legends such as Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson and Magic Johnson all received criticism during their playing days, and that the coverage today is no different than back then.

“In today’s game, these players are so sensitive. So sensitive that it just don’t make any damn sense.”

LeBron‘s out here making opps like they’re going out of style!
