Tesla firebombing suspect arrested in Vegas, linked to communist, pro-Palestine causes

Police arrested a man who has been charged in the firebombing of several vehicles at a Las Vegas Tesla outlet last week, and he allegedly holds communist and pro-Palestine views.

Paul Kim, a 36-year-old cinematographer, was arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police on Wednesday and will face state and federal charges for allegedly using Molotov cocktails to torch at least five electric cars on March 18 at the Tesla dealership, one of many domestic terror attacks carried out against the company in protest of CEO Elon Musk’s work with the Department of Government efficiency.

Kim was charged with multiple state felonies including arson, possession of an explosive device and destroying personal property. He will also face federal charges and could spend decades in prison. His social media activity reportedly shows that he is a hardened leftist, according to Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin.

“Las Vegas Metro Police say a search of Tesla firebombing suspect Paul Kim’s social media shows him with potential communist & pro-Palestine affiliations. They say they have a DNA match and showed video of him using a rifle to shoot out surveillance cameras before the attack,” Melugin wrote in a Thursday post to X.

“Kim’s social media shows ‘loose but self-proclaimed ties’ to accounts belonging to ‘Community Party USA,’ ‘Revolutionary Communists International,’ ‘Hidden Palestine’ and ‘Palestine Action’,” Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren said, according to NBC Las Vegas.

Musk shared a video of the firebombed vehicles to X after the attack.

“This level of violence is insane and deeply wrong,” he wrote. “Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks.”

“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a statement last week. “Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”

The FBI has established a task force to investigate the domestic terror incidents being carried out against Tesla, which have been tacitly sanctioned by Democrats.

Spencer Evans, the agent-in-charge of the FBI’s Las Vegas office, told reporters that Kim will be charged by the federal government.

“There’s nothing courageous or noble about firebombing private property and terrorizing your local community,” Evans said. “The self-righteous mob that’s cheering you on today to commit acts of violence on their behalf will leave you high and dry and forget about you tomorrow. And at the end of the day, you and you alone will be held responsible and face the prospect of a lengthy prison sentence.”

Police said that Kim arrived at the location dressed in black and driving a black Hyundai Elantra. Detectives were able to locate the vehicle by canvassing video from hundreds of Las Vegas valley locations. The suspect reported his car stolen to his insurance company. Law enforcement found multiple firearms in Kim’s apartment, including rifles, a shotgun and a handgun along with ammo and gun parts.

The suspect was armed with a rifle and shot at surveillance cameras outside the business, he also spray painted the Democrat slogan “RESIST” on the front doors. The vehicles were burned with Molotov cocktails, one of which was found unexploded at the scene.

“People that get caught sabotaging Teslas will stand a very good chance of going to jail for up to twenty years, and that includes the funders. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!!!” President Donald J. Trump said in a recent post to Truth Social.
