Teacher ‘attempts’ to stop brutal beatdown – but not at the risk of spilling his coffee

Horrific scenes of a brutal junior high school fight in Texas emerged, showing at least two grown “men” doing hardly anything to stop it, including one who couldn’t be bothered to put his coffee down.

There was also a crowd standing around, chanting, and recording, but doing nothing else, as one boy had his face stomped on and appeared to go unconscious.

“This clown should be fired immediately,” Trending Politics co-owner Collin Rugg said on X.

“The Bedford Police Department says they have made a referral to the Tarrant County Juvenile Justice Center,” Rugg reported on X.

“‘Just after 8 a.m., the Bedford Police Officer serving as the School Resource Officer at Harwood Junior High responded to the scene of a fight in progress between two students.’”

“‘Upon arrival, the officer observed a school staff member separating the students and the officer immediately took control of one student.’”

“‘The school nurse also arrived and began treating the other student for injuries.’”

“100 people were watching this fight and only one person made a half a$$ attempt to do anything. Despicable people.”

The video is very disturbing to watch, but the fight can be seen below:

The school principal apologized to parents for not notifying them sooner of the fight that happened on Tuesday, WFAA reported.

“I apologize for not reaching out sooner during the investigation process to notify our Harwood JH families. We are also working to ensure we have processes, aligned training, and tools in place to help prevent future incidents. Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff,” the principal said in a letter after the fight went viral.

“I want to emphasize that fighting is a severely inappropriate behavior, and this type of incident is completely unacceptable,” the principal stated. “The incident is being taken very seriously, including investigation of the complete sequence of events using video and interviews, surrounding context, actions of additional students and staff, and district processes related to student fights.”

The principal also added that “anyone involved in fighting will receive consequences in line with the Student Code of Conduct, and can also experience consequences through the legal system as determined by law enforcement.”

Outrage over the horrific beating and inaction came in fast and furious:

There were some who lightly defended the teachers, claiming they probably didn’t want to end up in a lawsuit for intervening, but one X user may have put it best:

“Imagine if that was your boy?”
