Labour is hosting foreign ministers for an “Organised Immigration Crime Summit” at Lancaster House. Over the weekend Yvette Cooper said the government was still “looking at” third-country processing for asylum claims. The government has announced two policies to go with its summit:

• A new £33 million fund to “disrupt people-smuggling networks and boost prosecutions.” That’s three and a half days of state spending on migrant hotels…
• A new international wing of the CPS. Paying foreign prosecutors to arrest people smugglers…
