“The View” host Sonny Hostin is piping mad over Gavin Newsom’s interview with conservative firebrand Steve Bannon.
Newsom has been making what appears to many a very inauthentic shift to the political middle, as he allegedly prepares for a White House bid in 2028.
Hostin slammed Newsom for being “inauthentic” and while her specific claim might be accurate, she fails to grasp that the Democrat Party has cornered the market on “inauthenticity.”
Regardless, Hostin went on a delicious rant about Newsom and claimed that voters will see through his charade (most Dem voters won’t, or else they wouldn’t repeatedly fall for stunts like this).
“I believe that if you are going to be a public servant, you better be unapologetically authentic because voters can sniff out inauthenticity in a second,” Hostin railed.
“And I thought that that was one of the most inauthentic things I have seen Gavin Newsom do.”
“I’m terribly disappointed. I think you meet energy with energy, and what he did was he showed his pretty white teeth and his cute face and did nothing other than that. And I think it’s despicable.”
