Ex-Reform MP Rupert Lowe has been keeping busy since being ousted from the party, which Farage declared he’d “never return to.” He’s now launched his own national inquiry into the rape gang scandal, a topic he’s been vocal about since it hit the headlines a few months ago. Lowe took to X to announce the inquiry, saying it will focus on what happened, how it happened, and why it was allowed to happen. He’s set up a crowdfunder to fund it and promised to appoint a qualified panel to oversee the investigation, backed by a legal advisory team. Lowe also committed to personally donating…

Back in January, Farage pledged that Reform would launch its own inquiry into the grooming gangs scandal if Labour failed to do so by the end of the month. Though since that promise there have been no updates from Reform on the matter…

Lowe unsurprisingly hit out at his former party, saying:

“Positive press about a potential inquiry was accepted and used for political gain by Reform and Farage, but no real action was taken. That does not sit right with me, at all. When I make a promise, I keep it. I stated on March 12th I would do this, and I am doing it.”

The crowdfunder’s target is £100,000. It’s raised £16,340 in the first hour already…
