Poll Shows Residents In Maine Want Transgender Athletes Out Of Female Sports

Well, isn’t this interesting…

A poll released Thursday from the University of New Hampshire shows the majority of residents in Maine don’t want transgenders in female sports.

The poll comes around the same time as the deadline from the Trump administration that orders Maine to comply with the president’s executive order that bans trans athletes from competing against females in sports. Maine decided not to follow the order from Trump, so as a result, the “noncompliance with Title IX” from the state was referred to the Justice Department by the Health and Human Services’ Office of Civil Rights. According to the survey, 64% of residents in Maine have the belief that biological males “definitely should not” or “probably should not” be allowed to compete in female sports. On the flip side, just 29% of residents of “The Pine Tree State” believe that trans individuals “probably should” or “definitely should” be allowed to steal glory from women. Go figure.

With that being said, the majority is clearly on the side of common sense, so it’s time for Gov. Janet Mills to get her act together and give the people what they want.

I’m glad to see the people of Maine are on the right side of history — good for y’all.
