Police reportedly release more details on Biden prosecutor, 43, found dead in home

A former US Attorney who was found dead in her home was reportedly suffering from a “longstanding medical issue.”

According to Fox News, 43-year-old Jessica D. Aber was found deceased in her Alexandria, Virginia home on Saturday. A friend of Aber revealed to Fox that her cause of death could potentially be related to medical issues.

“Police believe the death was the result of a longstanding medical issue,” the source reportedly told Fox.

The Alexandria Police Department released a statement on the call they received over the weekend.

“As a matter of protocol, an investigation is underway surrounding the circumstances of her death. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia will determine the cause and manner of death.”

Former President Joe Biden appointed Aber as the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia from 2021 to 2025, from which she resigned on January 20, the day of President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“I am deeply grateful to senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine and to President Biden for the opportunity to lead this office and to Attorney General Garland for his steadfast leadership,” she wrote in her farewell letter. “I am proud of the work we have done with our federal, state and local law enforcement partners to enforce the law and build community trust.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi took to X to extend her condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.

Aber’s cause of death is still under investigation.
