A nurse who received racial abuse from a 6ft-plus, burly, transgender sex offender has been investigated by NHS bosses because she called him ‘Mr’.
Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals has referred nurse Jennifer Melle to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), who said in a letter that Jennifer is ‘a potential risk’ for not using the preferred ‘gender identity’.
To add insult to injury, she has since been suspended for speaking to the media about the injustice of her ordeal.
