No, they’re never gonna get it! Rep. Clyburn says his prediction of ‘Jim Crow 2.0’ is coming true

Democrat Rep. James Clyburn is desperately trying to resuscitate a part of America’s past to destroy true progress in the present.

Clyburn was on CNN responding to an incident on Tuesday where an article about baseball legend Jackie Robinson was allegedly removed from the Dept. of Defense’s website.

“The ghouls who did this should be ashamed,” ESPN’s Jeff Passan wrote on X. “Jackie Robinson was the embodiment of an American hero. Fix this now.”

In response, Pentagon Press Secretary John Ullyot claimed to have been unaware of the page’s removal and demanded its return, but he simultaneously expressed support for the elimination of “DEI” within DOD ranks, the Hill reported.

Clyburn wasted no time exploiting the incident and railed against the Trump administration for “continuing to throw these shiny objects while they implement what I call, Jim Crow 2.0.”

“What does DEI have to do with Jackie Robinson and Medgar Evers? And what did it have to do with saying it is no longer persona non grata to have government-sponsored events in segregated establishments?” Clyburn said.

“This is the establishment of Jim Crow 2.0,” he continued. “I said that before we ever had the election, and it’s coming true.

“I would hope that we would stop running around chasing these shiny objects and begin to focus the American people on exactly what this administration is doing,” Clyburn said.

Plenty of X users weren’t buying what Clyburn was selling and felt it was time to retire the tired talking point:
