Famous singer Ne-Yo said he lays down rules for his four girlfriends to follow — but doesn’t have to follow those rules himself.
The three-time Grammy award winner said he is involved in a polyamorous relationship with four girlfriends but added that the women remain loyal to him alone. Ne-Yo made the bombshell revelation on Thursday’s episode of “The Angie Martinez Show” and insisted the women were the ones who offered “exclusivity.”
“The question I get the most is, are they allowed to date outside of me? That’s the question I get all the damn time, and I’m answering it right now. No … No they are not,” the star said.

The artist introduced fans to all four of his girlfriends in March by revealing his polyamorous status on social media. He said the ladies’ names were Cristina (Pretty Baby), Arielle (Twin Flame), Moneii (Phoenix Feather) and Bri (Sexy Lil’ Somethin’).
Seemingly aware that his statement about exclusivity would raise a few eyebrows, the famous singer went on to explain the agreement he had with the women.
“I did not demand their exclusivity. They offered it. They came to me and said, ‘I want to be exclusive to you and just you,’” he said.
“I said, ‘You understand that your exclusivity to me does not mean my exclusivity to you. You understand this?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘You’re okay with this?’ ‘Yes.’ Okay, cool, since you are offering your exclusivity and I’m taking it, now there’s rules that I need you to follow,” he recalled.

Ne-Yo said he declares the “rules” but doesn’t “do ownership,” and noted that if any of his girlfriends wanted to date other men, he’d be open to “a conversation,” although the final decision would remain his. He noted the women were free to leave if they didn’t agree to his terms.
“I’d be a fool to feel like I’m the only person that anybody will ever be attracted to, anybody will ever want to see, I know that,” he said.
“However, in that I’m the head of this household, what I say goes.”
Ne-Yo reiterated, “So if I say no, it’s a no. And you just got to let that be a no. Or the door is over there.”
The famous singer said he is able to date women outside of his four relationships but just chooses not to do so at the moment.
“I’m good. There is no just random hookups here and there,” he said.
“Everything is talked about, everything is discussed.”
Ne-Yo told Martinez his mother is aware of his lifestyle and his seven children have met all his girlfriends.
“Everybody gets along,” he said.
“I couldn’t wish for a better situation, to be honest,” the singer said. (RELATED: Ne-Yo Says He’s Willing To Date Fans)
“We talk about jealousy, we talk about insecurity, we talk about all of these things, but we talk about it together as a unit. That’s the key — radical honesty.”
