An illegal alien in California accused of murdering a teen was allowed to continue coaching youth soccer despite previously being investigated for child sex abuse.
The illegal alien, 43-year-old Mario Edgardo Garcia Aquino, assaulted a 16-year-old boy with the intention of raping him on Feb. 22nd of last year, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Aquino was just charged with this crime this past week. When asked about why the long delay between the incident and Aquino being charged, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman basically said that months of investigation were needed beforehand.
Months of investigation during which time Aquino was allowed to run free and allegedly murder Oscar “Omar” Hernandez, 13.

According to the Times, Aquino was also the subject of an investigation involving the 2022 sexual assault of a minor. However, he was never charged because the victim refused to testify against him.
Both of the victims — one from the 2024 case, and the other from the 2022 case — were linked to his soccer coaching.
“Aquino was a youth travel soccer coach with the Hurricane Valley boys soccer club in the Sylmar area, and worked with different age divisions,” the Times notes.
Flash forward to March 30th, when another one of Aquino’s students, Oscar “Omar” Hernandez, was reported missing after he “failed to return home from visiting an acquaintance in Lancaster,” according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
That acquaintance was none other than Aquino.
“The teen, who lived in Sun Valley, had taken a train to the Antelope Valley the day before he was reported missing,” the Times notes. “When the boy’s brother tried to phone him later that day, the coach answered the boy’s cellphone and said the boy was busy and could not talk.”
Hernandez’s father reportedly then called Aquino and asked him to drop his son off near his home, but that never happened.
Using phone data and other tracking systems, the authorities later determined that Aquino had killed Hernandez and then dumped his body in the nearby town of Oxnard.
Aquino has since been arrested and charged with murder during the “commission or attempted commission of performance of a lewd and lascivious act upon” a child, according to the complaint against him.
13 year-old Oscar “Omar” Hernandez was an innocent child who was exploited and killed by this depraved illegal alien who should have never been in this country.

“No parent should ever have to endure the unimaginable pain and sorrow of learning their child has been murdered,” Hochman said in a statement. “Oscar simply boarded a train, and little did he or his family know that he would never return. Sexual predators who target victims for their own gratification will be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
“On behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department, I want to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Oscar Omar Hernandez,” LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell said in his own statement.
“While we all hoped for a different outcome, the tireless work of multiple law enforcement agencies has ensured that this dangerous individual is off the streets and is no longer a threat to our children and our communities. While this may do little to ease the family’s pain, please know that we are fully committed to pursuing justice for their son,” he added.

Aquino now faces a possible maximum sentence of death or life in prison without the possibility of parole.
But critics say he deserves worse — a one-way ticket to El Salvador’s notorious CECOT prison.

Deport him back to El Salvador! I’m sure he will have fun with all his new room mates.

If he doesn’t get the death penalty let’s send him home to that big beautiful prison they have in El Salvador.

I’m hoping he will be deported to El Salvador’s SuperMax prison rather than being tried here. Our prisons are a joke!
