Former First Lady Michelle Obama may be wildly popular among leftists, but it would appear that support doesn’t translate to her IMO podcast.
The new podcast, hosted by the former first lady and her brother Craig Robertson, debuted March 12 and has six published episodes as of the writing of this article. Despite the love she enjoys for her hypothetical political ambitions, the podcast only ranked 34th on Spotify, below The Joe Rogan Experience (2nd), This Past Weekend with Theo Von (6th), The Tucker Carlson Show (8th) and even The MidasTouch Podcast (12th).
In her first episode, titled “You Should Start a Podcast With Your Sibling”, Michelle spilled some tea on her relationship with her husband, former President Barack Obama, specifically how he had to learn to be more punctual.
“Well, Barack, you know, he had to adjust to what ‘on time’ was. I’ve got this husband who’s like, when it’s time to leave — it’s 3:00 — he’s getting up and going to the bathroom. And I was like, dude, dude, 3:00 departure means you’ve done all that, you know?” she joked.
It was also discussed that Craig had to help him convince his sister to support Barack’s presidential ambitions.
“I mean, we knew Barack was smart and, you know, ambitious,” she said. “But you talked me into supporting his run, and he was smart enough to know that he needed to come to you and sell you on the idea.”
Originally, she hadn’t backed the idea of him running for the White House, telling him “We’ve done enough crazy stuff.”
