Martina Navratilova ‘Fuming’ After Female Fencer Gets Punished For Not Competing Against Trans Opponent

Martina Navratilova, a tennis legend who also happens to be a lifelong Democrat, blasted USA Fencing following a female fencer taking a knee in protest of being forced to square off against a biological male athlete at a recent event.

Stephanie Turner decided not to oppose a biological male, Redmond Sullivan, during the Cherry Blossom Open that took place in Maryland. Rather, she took a knee in protest. As a result, Tucker was given a black card from the referee, which is the worst punishment you can receive in fencing. Turner said to Fox News Digital that she was escorted out of the building in the aftermath, and was also forced to sign documentation that acknowledged the penalty against her. The situation has since gone viral, and Navratilova, someone who has stood up for fairness in female sports for a while now, caught whiff of it and was left “fuming.”

“This is what happens when female athletes protest! Anyone here still thinks this is fair??? I am fuming… and shame on @USAFencing, shame on you for doing this. How dare you throw women under the gender bullsh*t bus!!!” said Navratilova in an X post.
