At the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) dinner held Tuesday, President Donald Trump reaffirmed his commitment to the American worker and the middle class, sharply contrasting his administration’s priorities with those of Wall Street, the political establishment, and global economic interests.
As Breitbart reported, President Trump addressed Republican lawmakers and supporters during the dinner, reiterating his America First strategy and framing the upcoming midterm elections as an opportunity to hold the Democrat Party accountable for what he described as policies that have undermined national sovereignty and betrayed working Americans.

“Our opponents are not afraid that our America First policies will fail, they’re terrified that our strategy will succeed and we’re going to get bigger and stronger and better as a party, and that’s what’s happening — and that is what’s happening,” Trump said during the event.

He continued, “It’s going to be something, and I’m actually looking forward to the mid-terms. We’re going to prove that all of their treasonous years of betrayal will not be forgotten — cause it’s treason, what they did is treason. When they allowed millions of people to pour in through open borders — from all over the world they came, to me that’s treason. What they’ve done to our country is unthinkable.”
President Trump criticized the U.S. judicial system’s handling of illegal immigration, specifically referencing decisions by some judges to allow suspected members of the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang to remain in the country instead of being deported.

He emphasized his position as a leader focused on everyday Americans over elite interests.
“I’m proud to be the President for the workers, not the outsourcers; the President who stands up for Main Street, not Wall Street; who protects the middle class, not the political class; and who defends America, not trade cheaters all over the globe.”

Addressing trade, President Trump accused international actors of exploiting the U.S. through unfair practices. “They’re trade cheaters, they cheated on us, they cheated with tariffs on us,” he said.
“They stole our money, they stole our jobs, and now people are going around saying, ‘Oh, we’re not treating them right.’ No, we’re treating them very good, actually. They’re lucky we’re treating them so good.”
