MAGA hat-snatching subway ‘Karen’ is an ‘extremely liberal’ luxury-brand specialist: report

The video of the subway Karen that went viral for its “instant karma” ending is getting more context.

We are learning more about the woman at the center of a viral video involving a man in a MAGA hat thanks to the New York Post.

As BizPac Review previously reported, it all started when the woman began heckling the young man for being an apparent supporter of President Donald Trump. She flung around accusations that he was racist until the subway train stopped, at which point she chased him onto the platform in an attempt to take his hat. The spectacle didn’t last long, as the woman quickly faceplanted onto the tile.

In an exclusive report, The Post identified the woman as 55-year-old Alberta Testanero, a “dual Italian-American citizen” who works as a “creative director for several luxury brands.” A former co-worker spoke to the outlet, revealing that politics has caused the woman to become “agitated.”

“She and I stopped being friends a while ago, as she became extremely liberal and very agitated,” they said.

“I see nothing has changed, but now she’s gotten into the extreme, doing things like this,” the ex-co-worker added, noting the Testanero would often argue with conservatives and accuse people of being “racist.”

Her LinkedIn account describes her as someone dedicated to “maintaining the highest standards.”

“An experienced team leader, I have a keen understanding of the relationship between corporate strategy and creative vision,” it reads. “No matter how large or small, I approach every project with enthusiasm always furthering brand vision and maintaining the highest standards.”

Testanero has not released a public statement about the subway incident and is not taking questions from reporters.
