Leftist heads explode as GOP lawmaker introduces bill to put Trump on $100 bill

A suggestion to add President Donald Trump to American currency is not sitting well with social media users.

Like many other countries in the world, the United States has put the faces of leaders on our currency. Now, Republican Rep. Brandon Gill, R – Texas, is introducing legislation that would replace Benjamin Franklin’s face on the $100 bill with Trump’s. He says he believes that the 47th president’s legacy “deserves to be immortalized” and what better way to do that than put him on American currency?

Look:

“I’m introducing the GOLDEN AGE ACT to put President Donald J. Trump on the $100 bill. America is experiencing an historic rebirth under President Trump—his legacy deserves to be immortalized. Washington. Lincoln. Reagan. TRUMP. It’s time to make history,” he wrote in a post on X.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Gill expanded on his proposal and the respect he has for Trump.

“President Trump could be enjoying his golden years golfing and spending time with his family,” he said. “Instead, he took a bullet for this country and is now working overtime to secure our border, fix our uneven trade relationship with the rest of the world, make America energy independent again and put America first by ending useless foreign aid.”

He noted that such a change would be a “small way to honor all he will accomplish these next four years.”

X users did not react well to the suggestion:
