The Labour Party is launching a new cash-for-access event programme which it calls the “Growth and Innovation series.” Billed as “a unique opportunity to engage with Labour’s plan to kickstart economic growth”…
Each event will apparently focus on a different “growth mission.” The first one, taking place on 23 June this year in London, is just themed on “Growth and Innovation.” “Other topics to be covered later in the series are the economy, tech and artificial intelligence, supporting SMEs, regeneration and housing, environment, and Britain’s place in the world.” Credit cards shooting out of wallets no doubt…
Tickets for that first event in the summer cost a whopping £5,000 excluding VAT. For that you get “maximised engagement“:
Labour has been struggling to sell expensive tickets for its business events at party conference this year. Got to get the cash from somewhere…
“Dear Colleague,
We are excited to announce our new Growth and Innovation series. The first of its kind, the series will be a unique opportunity to engage with Labour’s plan to kickstart economic growth.
As the Prime Minister has said, we are in a new economic era. While challenging, Labour’s Growth Mission is focused on the areas that can boost wealth in every region of the country through: a modern industrial strategy, a drive to reform the state to cut back regulation and waste and make the most of new technology, a new National Wealth Fund to invest in jobs, planning reform to build 1.5 million new homes, and a plan to make work pay. All underpinned by a restoration of sound public finances.
Each of these events will focus on a different strand of our wider growth mission. Guests will be invited to hear from the leaders of Labour’s key missions and other experts in their fields; to share their experiences and identify best practices that will help remove blockages to change, and help us go further and faster in delivering the economic growth Britain needs.
The first event in the series will focus on Growth and Innovation and will take place on 23 June 2025 in Central London. Other topics to be covered later in the series are the economy, tech and artificial intelligence, supporting SMEs, regeneration and housing, environment, and Britain’s place in the world:
The format of the day is designed to maximise engagement, there will be opportunities for Q and A as well as addresses from our mission leads.
Highlights of the day will include:
In conversation with Rachel Reeves MP and Constantin Cotzias, European Director, Bloomberg followed by Q&A
In conversation with Jonathan Reynolds MP
Hear from Peter Kyle MP on the role that AI and technology play in economic growth
And a range of other political voices
Please note that tickets to the Growth and Innovation series are limited. In order to widen participation at the events across all sectors, registration and the purchasing of a ticket does not guarantee attendance. You will receive confirmation that you have been allocated a space in due course.
