Labour Fails to Sell Tickets for Conference ‘Business Summit’ as Reeves Budget Bites
Back in 2024 Labour’s studied efforts to love up with businesses looked to be working when tickets sold out for its “business leaders’ summit” within 24 hours. For £3,000 a ticket some business leaders wanted their money back after a “sham event”…
It doesn’t look like there’s as much enthusiasm this time round now that Labour is enacting policies. After a full week on sale tickets for the 29 September business summit at 2025’s party conference in Liverpool are still available. This is despite Labour hamming up its “first of its kind” more expensive £5,000 package with “the opportunity to tailor your day to ensure you are involved in the policy areas which matter most to you and your organisation.” It’s not a sham this time we promise…
For that cash businesspeople get:
- Full week Commercial Balcony Pass worth £2140
- Breakfast networking event. Cash for croissants?
- Guaranteed seat in The Chancellor’s speech
- In Conversation and Q&A events
- Roundtable sessions
- Panel events
- Networking business lunch with key Labour politicians
- Access to the Business and International Drinks Reception
- Access to fringe events and wider Conference activities
- Opportunity to attend Conference keynote speeches
- Access to the Conference Business Lounge
Multiple business sources have griped to Guido in recent weeks about the lack of benefits for the cost of the ticket compared to previous years. Several have said they will not bother going to Labour conference…
Labour has quietly “reduced capacity” for the event. Rachel’s budget is now hitting Labour coffers…
