Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed Wednesday on Fox News’ Hannity that individuals within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) responsible for leaking Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations have been identified and will face prosecution.
During the interview, host Sean Hannity questioned Noem about reports that ICE raids were being leaked to potential deportation targets, endangering agents and undermining enforcement efforts.
“I have a couple of them identified that are within DHS,” Noem responded.
“And when I’m able to reveal that with the evidence, I’m going to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law, and I’m going to make an example out of them.”

She emphasized the severity of the issue, noting that leaks continue to hinder operations.
“And just on the way here, I got another notification of another leak. And I can’t do anything without it getting leaked, and that’s why we have to have so many ops all over the country all the time that it doesn’t slow us down.”
Noem made it clear that addressing the leaks is a top priority alongside the agency’s broader immigration enforcement efforts.
While speaking about ICE operations and the challenges posed by leaks, Noem referenced a recent case that has drawn national attention.
“So that’s one of the things when I was in New York City today, I said to so many of our law enforcement officers, I said, listen, we don’t have time to kiss each other’s asses,” she said.
“We just don’t have time to sit around, and we have to do everything we can every single day because we might have another Laken Riley tomorrow and wish we would have pushed harder and wish we would have done more,” Noem continued, referring to the tragic murder of Laken Riley, which authorities have linked to an illegal immigrant.
Noem did not mince words when describing the danger posed by those undermining ICE operations from within DHS.
“So these leakers, boy, they better watch out because we are putting just as equal effort into identifying them as we are these criminals that are out there raping and murdering people,” she stated.
She further underscored the risk these individuals pose to national security and law enforcement.
“As far as I’m concerned, these leakers are more dangerous because it’s a complete disregard for our law enforcement officers that are out there.”
Noem did not provide specific details on when prosecutions would begin but made it clear that the investigation is actively ongoing.
The administration’s crackdown on internal leaks comes as immigration enforcement efforts continue to ramp up under President Donald Trump’s leadership.
With the border crisis remaining a central issue in national politics, Noem’s commitment to holding DHS insiders accountable signals an aggressive approach to securing ICE operations and ensuring that deportation efforts are not compromised from within.
