Kid Rock pitches RADICAL idea on how to unite our country again

Singer/songwriter Kid Rock is determined to reunite America, and he recently revealed his plan to Glenn Beck.

Rock says he plans to invite Bill Maher, who is no fan of President Donald Trump, to the White House for dinner. While this may seem like it’s coming out of the blue considering Maher’s track record of “talking smack” about Trump, Rock believes the comedian is “more reasonable than a lot of people on the right would think.”

Watch:

“I’m actually gonna try to unite this country and I’m starting, at the end of the month, I’m taking Bill Maher to the White House for dinner,” he said to a brief silence from Beck.

“This guy’s done nothing but talk smack about the president from day one, but he’s a comedian too. I can have conversations with him, you know, we don’t get into Trump because I’m like ‘I f**king love him’ he’s like ‘I don’t,” I’m like ‘Let’s talk about other things.’ We can find common ground, he’s actually more reasonable than a lot of people on the right would think,” Rock continued as Beck murmured in agreement. “Especially these last four years. So I said to him, I was doing his podcast and I said If I can hook you guys up, this, that and the other. And trust me, there’s a lot of people deserving at that table for dinner so it’s a big deal for me to bring him there and even have the president be like ‘Yeah, do it. Let’s do it.’”

“I go man, what would it say to this country? Let’s start at the top, you know, very public figures, you television comedian and him, president of the free world, we could just break bread and have some laughs, take some pictures and be like ‘Hey, you know, we don’t agree on everything but we get along.’ Does that start to send a message to people or do they just think I’m an idiot?” Rock mused.  “Does Bill Maher look soft for going? Does Trump look weak? I’m like man, I just think we gotta start somewhere like there.”

As BizPac Review previously reported, Rock was on Maher’s HBO show where the pair discussed Trump’s tendency to joke about a third presidential term.

“Well, he likes to joke. I know he’s funny as sh-t. But. I’m telling you, the guy’s hilarious. He’s so fun to hang out with,” the singer/songwriter chuckled.

“Yeah, I bet he is fun to hang out with. But you don’t think he’s serious about that?” Maher asked, still concerned.

“No.”

“And if he was, would that be a break for you? Would anything make you break?” Maher asked. “If he said, ‘No, I’m going to be against our Constitution, what we’ve had for many years.’ You cannot run for a third term. If he said, ‘No, I’m staying.’ Would that break?”

“Under current circumstances? If things are going along the way they’ve been going along, yes. If he’s like, ‘I’m running for a third term,’ I’d be like, ‘Whoa, whoa, pump the brakes, man. Hold on a second,” Rock admitted.

“So he could lose Kid Rock.” Maher pressed.

“Be very tough. Be very, very tough. Very, very tough. I told you before, which is probably going to shock your audience: I don’t like Trump. I f*cking love Trump,” the musician admitted.
