Kash Patel responds to rash of ‘swatting’ incidents targeting conservatives

Attacks against conservatives, or anyone with influence who is perceived to be aligning with President Trump or Elon Musk, are ramping up.

As Attorney General Pam Bondi issues warnings of long prison terms for anyone destroying Tesla dealerships, and Republican town halls across the nation descend into chaos as suspected “paid agitators” wreak havoc, now private citizens with large public followings are being targeted.

Several conservative influencers were “swatted” over the past few days in an apparent coordinated attack to frighten and intimidate. “Swatting” is the act of sending law enforcement to the target’s home or workplace with false calls of illicit behavior happening on the premise.

As news of the swatting spread on X, so did calls for FBI Director Kash Patel to get involved.

Several targets talked about their experiences where it was widely shared.

Show host Joe Pags Pagliarulo took to the airwaves to describe part of his ordeal.

“There was a guy with an AR15…looking in my window,” Pagliarulo said he saw around 2:30am.

Yes — my family and I were swatted. This is how it went down. Including the video I saw on my front door camera at 2:35am. How would you have reacted?

Mike Engleman, another target, said “imagine my shocked face when I was woken up at 1:30 am by law enforcement… I’m a nobody living in a sleepy community of 2800 people! Sleepless night in southern Indiana!

Engleman continued to share details.

“A 911 caller, 869 area code, reported I was holding people hostage at gunpoint in my house and had shot and killed my daughter, who was upstairs. The weird thing was that the 911 caller was still on the line with dispatch providing false information while the cops as they were talking to me,” he wrote on X.

“We don’t have an upstairs. My daughter hasn’t lived here in over 20 years. Once assured, everything was fine. I said this is what they call swatting. Explained it to them. They asked if I had any idea who would do this, and I said no. Did inform them that’s it’s happening all over America. I asked them to please find out it who it was. I was assured they would. It took a bit to calm my wife down. She has a heart condition, but it’s all good now! Godspeed!

“I have a great relationship with all local law enforcement in this area, and I know all the cops. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep at all afterward. I kept wondering who in the world would do this in a small, sleepy community of 2800? I’m stunned! But I’m not backing down! I’m going to keep pushing!”

Shawn Farash, yet another target, detailed his swatting experience in Tennessee in a video he shared on X and can be viewed below:

Thankfully FBI Director Kash Patel heard the calls and started taking immediate action to find the culprits.

“I want to address the alarming rise in ‘Swatting’ incidents targeting media figures,” Patel sated. “The FBI is aware of this dangerous trend, and my team and I are already taking action to investigate and hold those responsible accountable. This isn’t about politics—weaponizing law enforcement against ANY American is not only morally reprehensible but also endangers lives, including those of our officers. That will not be tolerated. We are fully committed to working with local law enforcement to crack down on these crimes.”
