Karoline Leavitt Wrecks ‘Hands Off’ Protesters Across All Fifty States [WATCH]

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt issued a sharp rebuke of Democrat-aligned protesters on Monday, calling out what she described as an increasing influence of far-left extremists within the party, as reported by Fox News.

Her remarks came in response to the nationwide “Hands Off!” protests held over the weekend in opposition to several Trump administration policies.

WASHINGTON – February 22, 2025: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt arrives at the White House South Lawn on Marine One after her visit to CPAC.

During an appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime, Leavitt questioned the credibility of the Democratic Party in light of the demonstrations.

“The Democrat Party has been completely captivated by these far-left lunatics,” Leavitt said. “And I’m not sure which Democrat on Capitol Hill is going to stand up and be the sensible voice, but I won’t hold my breath and best of luck to them if one chooses to stand out. They are enjoying their lowest approval rating ever because this is who they are trying to represent. These far-left activists who don’t stand for anything, they only stand against Donald Trump, and they hate. As you just heard from that one individual who wished death upon the President of the United States, they not just hate him, they hate the nearly 80 million Americans who elected him.” She continued:

“The Democrats have officially become the party of crazy. President Trump and the Republicans are the party of common sense.”

The “Hands Off!” protests were staged in all 50 states, totaling more than 1,200 rallies. Notable gatherings occurred at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and at numerous state capitol buildings.

The demonstrations were organized to protest the Trump administration’s policies, including federal downsizing under the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), reciprocal tariffs, and immigration reforms.

Protesters also voiced opposition to a range of other issues, including the Israel-Hamas war, deportation policies, federal employee layoffs, and recent cuts to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs.

In response to the protests, the White House issued a statement to the Associated Press, reaffirming President Donald Trump’s commitment to protecting entitlement programs.

“President Trump’s position is clear: He will always protect Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid for eligible beneficiaries. Meanwhile, the Democrats’ stance is giving Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare benefits to illegal aliens, which will bankrupt these programs and crush American seniors.”

The Trump administration has taken steps to reduce DEI-related mandates across federal agencies and educational institutions.

Officials argue these programs contribute to divisiveness and inefficiency. According to a report from the Goldwater Institute earlier this year, DEI initiatives cost taxpayers nearly $2 billion nationwide, largely due to compliance requirements at public universities.

Despite the pushback, some activists at the rallies maintained that federal programs should continue to prioritize aid for underprivileged groups.

However, federal agencies reported an estimated $236 billion in improper payments for social safety net programs in 2023, according to the Government Accountability Office.

The administration’s approach, according to officials, focuses on restoring merit-based systems and addressing fiscal responsibility while streamlining government operations.
