Over the weekend, Harris took the stage at the HumanX AI conference in Las Vegas, only to veer wildly off course into a bizarre rant about Doritos, leaving the audience scratching their heads.

As reported by The Gateway Pundit, the event, hyped as “the most important AI conference of 2025,” featured Harris alongside Feedzai Chairman Nuno Sebastiao for a discussion on artificial intelligence and its impact on society.

According to Business Wire, Harris was expected to outline “her vision for the future of AI, emphasizing the responsibility to shape this technology in a way that promotes human rights, privacy, and equal opportunity.”

That didn’t exactly happen. Instead, Harris delivered a meandering speech that left many wondering whether she had indulged in a little pre-conference celebration. While attempting to discuss innovation, she inexplicably detoured into a tangent about her love for nacho cheese Doritos.

“Whatever might be the trackings of Kamala Harris’s particular fondness for nacho cheese Doritos for the sake of getting a big bag of Doritos as I watched the Oscars,” she rambled with her signature cackle.

If that wasn’t enough of a head-scratcher, she continued with another perplexing thought:

“And you can debate with me if it should be a right—I think it should. To expect that the innovation would also be weighted in terms of solving their everyday problems, which are beyond my craving for Doritos… but about whatever—and I know the work is happening—the scientific discoveries, for example, to cure longstanding diseases. I would love it if there was an investment of resources in solving the affordable housing issue in America.”

Translation? Good luck figuring that out. Instead of offering any meaningful insight on AI, Harris treated attendees to a word salad of tangents, disconnected ideas, and, of course, an enthusiastic endorsement of Doritos.

This is hardly the first time Harris has baffled audiences with her nonsensical ramblings. From past comments about “the passage of time” to her legendary ability to state the obvious with excessive enthusiasm, she’s made a name for herself in the political gaffe department.
