Joe Rogan triggers the mob, says he’s happy the R-word ‘is back and it’s one of the great culture victories’

Podcaster Joe Rogan is once again stirring controversy on social media by expressing his happiness that the use of a “slur” is making a comeback.

Critics are upset that Rogan claimed the word “retarded” is “back” after being deemed a slur. He called the resurgence of the word’s use is “one of the great culture victories” which he claims is “spurred on, probably, by podcasts.”

Watch:

He had spoken about the use of the word in an episode from 2024 when he said that the “woke s**t is out the window.”

“That word – retard – comes flying out of these kids’ mouths. They’re bringing that back strong. That woke thing, it got into college and then the high school kids, the ones coming up now, they’re rejecting it,” he said.

Critics have come down hard on Rogan for his use of the term, including author Maureen McCormick.

Joe Rogan, [y]our statement that ‘the ‘R’ word is back and it’s one of the great culture victories,’ ignores the terrible hurt it causes to the millions of people with intellectual disabilities. This is not a victory. It is a regression,” she commented.
