‘Jetlagged’ Lammy Struggles Through Commons Ukraine Statement

David Lammy has been fielding questions after his statement in the Commons. At one point he temporarily lost the ability to speak:

“Well I’m very grateful, Mr Speaker, um particularly for the cross party nature of the um, uh, Secretary of State for the opposition, Mr Speaker I’m a little jet, jet-lagged. I got off a plane at six, six, so you’re you’ll forgive me but I’m very grateful to the Right Honourable Lady for the manner of her remarks particularly on Ukraine.”

You’d think Lammy of all people would be used to flights by now. Reassuring stuff…
