INSIDER: Dem judges make a mockery of the legal system, enabled by derelict SCOTUS

Views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author.

As anyone with a smidgen of common sense could have predicted, President Donald J. Trump’s executive order to strip security clearances from an unethical high-powered Democrat law firm has run headlong into a rabidly partisan Washington, DC judge.

On Wednesday, barely 24 hours after shady white show firm Perkins Coie sued Trump over his move to mitigate the national security risks of its politicized practice, US District Judge Beryl Howell dutifully stepped in to slap the administration with yet another one of the temporary restraining orders that Democrats and their operatives have turned to to thwart systemic reform and the rooting out of corruption that’s the lifeblood of the nation’s capital.

According to CNN, the Barack Obama appointee – who has waged war on Trump from her bench – read her opinion for “more than 30 minutes” with parts of it sounding more like a polemic rant delivered from atop a soapbox than the reasoned and sober jurisprudence that was long the practice of federal judges before corrupt left-wing ideological rot metastasized through the judiciary like a cancer.

Howell declared that Trump’s order is “a punishment for a singled-out entity being disloyal,” and that “When ‘the Queen of Hearts yells ‘off with their heads’ for her subjects,” Howell added, that “cannot be the reality we are living under.” The outlet reported that the real life version of the Alice in Wonderland character preached to the court, a disgraceful rant that at times came across as a manifesto.

“The president is certainly entitled to his own beliefs, entitled to his own causes, and entitled to his own dislikes,” she said. “But the president cannot bring the federal government down on his political opponents … as he has done here.”

It was delivered with sheer hypocrisy and completely bereft of irony, considering that the previous administration spent four years bringing down the federal government on its opponents, especially Trump.

Even worse, perhaps even more culpable for the discrediting of the American judicial system than Howell and the rest of the party apparatchiks on the bench is America’s ultimate legal authority: the Supreme Court.

At this early stage in the Trump administration, the highest court in the land has brought shame and discredit upon the once sterling reputation of the American legal system, which until recent years was held up as the finest and fairest in the free world.

The one time that the Supreme Court had a chance to take a strong stand against unconstitutional lawfare, they instead sided with US District Judge Amir Ali, a Canada-born radical who was put on the bench by former President Joe Biden in the lame duck period between the election and Trump’s inauguration.

Chief Justice John Roberts – a George W. Bush appointee – and Amy Coney Barrett, who could go down as Trump’s worst hire ever, joined with the three left-wing women to rubberstamp the usurping of the president’s Article II powers by forcing him to pay $2 billion to Democrat money laundering conduit USAID.

The ruling greenlighted endless lawfare cases that will derail Trump’s reforms and bog down an already overburdened court system with the hope of stalling so that Democrats have the chance to retake the House of Representatives next year and launch their third impeachment of Trump.

By not reining in rogue lower court judges who are clearly issuing politically motivated decisions, the SCOTUS is shamefully derelict in its responsibilities. A real shame after the high court’s conservative majority derailed Biden’s despicable efforts to use DOJ hitman Jack Smith as a human torpedo to knock Trump out of contention, but this is where we are today.
