Haley Joel Osment Hurls ‘Nazi’ Slurs At Police In Newly Released Bodycam Arrest Video

Actor Haley Joel Osment was captured unleashing anti-Jewish slurs at a police officer in a newly released police bodycam footage of his April 8 arrest.

Osment called a police officer a “fucking Nazi” while under arrest and in the back of his police vehicle in a video shared April 18 by The New York Post. The actor was arrested for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance at Mammoth Mountain ski resort in California. The video showed the “Sixth Sense” star struggling with officers as they placed him in handcuffs, as his ski pants repeatedly slipped off.

Osment refused to provide his name to the arresting officers at the beginning of the video. When asked to identify himself, he replied, “I’m an American.”

“Well, you’re under arrest now,” the officer said.

Osment hurled antisemitic slurs and appeared belligerent.

At one point, he shouted, “I’ve been kidnapped by a fucking Nazi,” and he claimed he was “being attacked.”

The actor accused the police of torturing him and refused to cooperate with their instructions while being taken into custody.

“Use your legs and stand up,” the officers said in the clip.

Police discovered what they suspected to be cocaine residue on money that was in the actor’s helmet.

“I think there’s cocaine in that,” one officer said in the video.

Osment continued to push back at the police, at one point telling them, “you’re fuckin’ with my life,” and “you’ll wish you treated me nicer.”

Osment addressed the behavior captured in the bodycam footage in a statement issued to The New York Post on April 17.

“I’m absolutely horrified by my behavior. Had I known I used this disgraceful language in the throes of a blackout, I would have spoken up sooner,” he said.

“The Sixth Sense” and “Blink Twice” actor also noted he was in the midst of some personal challenges after losing his home in the Altadena wildfire in January.

“The past few months of loss and displacement have broken me down to a very low emotional place,” Osment told The New York Post.

“But that’s no excuse for using this disgusting word. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize to absolutely everyone that this hurts,” he said.

“I don’t ask for anyone’s forgiveness, but I promise to atone for my terrible mistake.”

The D.A. reportedly charged the actor with two misdemeanors, possession of cocaine and disorderly conduct under the influence of alcohol in public. Osment was released shortly after his arrest.
