Government Splashed £86,000 to Identify ‘Gender and Race Responsive’ Net Zero Policies
Red Ed’s DESNZ has been taking a battering over its Net Zero agenda – warnings of soaring household costs and even Tony Blair’s think tank panning Ed’s claim that it will drive growth. The department decided the solution is to throw more taxpayer cash at the problem…
UK Shared Business Services, which is provider to government bankrolled by the department it serves, handed out a hefty £86,200 contract for “Gender, Race and Social Inclusion – Net Zero transitions” in 2021. The lucky supplier Delta eSourcing Portal was tasked with “identifying how the UK can better develop gender responsive and inclusive climate/ energy policies and technologies.” For that you could:
- Buy 1,535 combat army boots.
- Buy 2,965 24-hour army ration packs.
- Buy 66 standard army rifles.
The taxpayer may have a view on which should be prioritised. UK DOGE recommends costs are cut here…
