Female Fencer Stephanie Turner Lands Huge Honor After Refusing To Take On Male Competitor

She’s out here doing big things!

Stephanie Turner, a 31-year-old fencer, was named a Courage Wins Champion after she showed courage by outright refusing to compete against a male athlete earlier in March.

The huge honor for Turner was announced Monday by XX-XY Athletics. (RELATED: Watch The Daily Caller’s “Damaged” Documentary)

“By taking a knee, she became more powerful than any male. She stood her ground to fight for women’s sports,” XX-XY Athletics founder Jennifer Sey said in a press release. “She’s a hero.” (RELATED: Female Fencer Bravely Takes Knee, Forfeits Against Trans Opponent In Protest)

$5,000 will be awarded to Turner, who will also be placed into a leadership program.

The award was announced by Sey during “America Reports” on Fox News.

“We aim to take the sting out of monetary cancelation and platform these women and bring them on board,” Turner said. “They have community. They have support. They will not stand alone.”

As a girl dad, I couldn’t be happier about what XX-XY Athletics is doing and I couldn’t be more proud of Stephanie Turner for being such a courageous woman.

It’s sad she was put through this, but she handled everything perfectly.
