Fearmongering Buttigieg stressing that SCOTUS could overturn homosexual marriage

Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg expressed his fears over same-sex marriage being overturned in the country.

The Democrat fretted about the possibility that the Supreme Court could go back on its previous 2015 ruling as he spoke on CBS’s “The Late Show” this week.

“Do you have any sense — do you have any fear that this Supreme Court would overturn Obergefell —” asked host Stephen Colbert.

“Sure,” Buttigieg replied before the host could finish.

The Democrat claimed the high court does not “seem terribly concerned about allowing precedents to stand, even recent precedents, so … how can we not be worried about that?”

The openly gay former South Bend, Ind. mayor who is married to a man, said that the U.S. “has always been at its best when it widens the circle of belonging and equality to take care of more people and not less.”

Buttigieg was not forthcoming with any indications that he may be seeking an open U.S. Senate seat in Michigan.

“I decided I’m going to continue to work on the things that I care about… I have not decided what that means professionally, whether that means running for office or not,” he told Colbert.

The Democrat also blasted President Donald Trump for his address to Congress, which had aired just before the CBS talk show.

“It was a lot of darkness and a lot of dazzle,” Buttigieg said. “But there was very, very little about the things that most affect our lives. I believe politics is about everyday life. It’s about what government can and must do to make our everyday lives better.”

His comments about rising egg prices left many on social media roiling.
