FBI’s Anti-Donald Trump ‘Whistleblower’ Arrested for Classified Leaks [WATCH]

A 15-year veteran of the FBI, Johnathan Buma, was arrested on Monday in New York for allegedly disclosing classified documents, text messages, and other confidential information.

Court documents reveal that Buma had improperly handled sensitive files, including material related to the FBI’s investigations into a foreign country’s weapons of mass destruction (WMD) program.

According to ABC News, federal agents took Buma into custody just before he was scheduled to board an international flight.

The arrest followed an investigation into his unauthorized disclosures of government documents.

Beginning in October 2023, Buma reportedly printed approximately 130 files from the FBI’s internal network, many of which were explicitly marked as classified and confidential.

Charging documents state that Buma printed nine additional text files containing information copied from classified reports, further confirming that he accessed and removed sensitive government data.

Buma also allegedly shared a draft manuscript of a book he was writing about his career at the FBI.

The draft, according to federal prosecutors, contained classified details about an FBI investigation into a foreign nation’s WMD program.

He reportedly sent portions of the book to associates via email.

Buma previously made headlines in 2023 when he spoke to Business Insider, accusing the FBI of political bias during Trump’s first term.

In the interview, Buma claimed that his superiors ignored intelligence he provided regarding Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, and alleged ties to Russian intelligence.

“Rudy Giuliani may have been compromised by individuals suspected of being involved in Russian counterintelligence influence operations,” Buma told Business Insider at the time.

“I saw important intelligence information being suppressed.”

He also dismissed the Hunter Biden-Burisma scandal and the contents of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, claiming they were part of a “disinformation campaign.”

As a result of his claims, Buma was eventually prohibited from investigating anyone connected to President Trump.

The FBI’s internal investigation found that Buma’s handling of sensitive information violated federal security protocols, leading to his arrest.

Prosecutors say the unauthorized printing and distribution of FBI documents—especially those related to national security—posed a significant risk.

Authorities have not yet disclosed whether Buma’s intended international travel was linked to his alleged leaks.

His charges could carry severe penalties, given the classified nature of the materials involved.

Buma is expected to make his first court appearance in New York this week as the investigation continues.
