Elon Musk names 5 ActBlue-funded groups behind Tesla ‘protests’

As “chaos” unfolded at a key Democratic Party fundraising organization, Elon Musk called out a connection to the astroturf “protests” cropping up against him.

Arguably, nothing had proven so unifying to the establishment and simultaneously threatening to their continued existence than the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency. Each new revelation about the intricate web of wasted taxpayer money brought with it new pushback and now the billionaire tech mogul behind DOGE was calling out ActBlue’s connections to protests against his company Tesla.

Taking to X Saturday morning, Musk wrote, “An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla ‘protests’: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America.”

“ActBlue funders include George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman, and Leah Hunt-Hendrix. ActBlue is currently under investigation for allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations. This week, 7 ActBlue senior officials resigned, including the associate general counsel,” continued the adviser to President Donald Trump who encouraged anyone with related knowledge to share in the replies.

As Musk noted, resignations of ActBlue officials had been tendered this week as congressional Republicans had launched an investigation of the Democratic Party fundraiser’s “security and fraud-prevention” efforts.

“Please be advised that we have Anti-Retaliation and Whistleblower Policies for a reason,” said Zain Ahman in an internal email before his own resignation from ActBlue.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk addressed the “turmoil” within the fundraising organization and brought up how ActBlue employee unions were calling for an investigation before positing, “More than $16 billion has passed through ActBlue in the past 20 years. What could they possibly be hiding?”

In September, GOP members of the House Oversight Committee had addressed then-Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen requesting access to “certain Suspicious Activity Reports” over reports of “potentially fraudulent and illicit financial activity related to contributions to campaigns of candidates for federal offices by online fundraising platforms like ActBlue.”

This included the potential of foreign individuals contributing to campaigns and political parties in violation of federal statutes as “failure to properly vet contributions made through online platforms may have allowed bad actors to more easily commit fraud to illegally exploit and violate federal campaign finance laws.”

At present, the Democratic Socialists of America were advertising a virtual event for March 12 to “defend and expand the rights of trans and migrant communities, standing up against Musk’s billionaire coup and standing with federal workers, and more.”

The latest comes amid the broader efforts of the Department of Government Efficiency to expose waste, fraud and abuse within the federal government like the considerable sums flowing through the U.S. Agency for International Development and elsewhere, including millions of dollars of taxpayer money that funded subscriptions to Politico, and nearly $2 million “authorized” by “General Licenses” from the Treasury Department toward the Taliban.

Meanwhile, Democratic Party senators like Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Adam Schiff of California were calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate Musk for allegedly using “his government position to protect those who engage in business with him — or harm those who do not,” risking “running afoul of criminal ethics laws.”
