Fox Business Network financial journalist Charles Payne exposed Bloomberg columnist Nia-Malika Henderson, a former senior political reporter for CNN, as the privileged elitist she is over a slight toward blue collar workers.
Henderson was disparaging the Trump tariffs during an appearance on CNN, downplaying recent remarks by U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick about the potential windfall of new factories that the U.S. plans to build, pointing out that many of these factories will be automated.
After noting that this will result in fewer jobs for mechanics and other blue collar positions, the Ivy League journalist asked, “Is it worth it to upend the global economy for HVAC jobs?”
Payne answered on X, “This is the mindset and callous thinking that gutted America’s manufacturing jobs in the first place. Yes. It’s worth it!”

Social media users were on board with Payne, recognizing left-wing arrogance when they see it — here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
Charles, you’re the only “money man” who looks out for the American working man!!

The left love their Globalism despite its absolute failure to deliver anything remotely like it was promised to.
Time to get back to basics.

When her A/C needs repaired who is she going to get to fix it? The elitists are so arrogant. Any blue collar job or person is completely beneath them. But, when they have issues, those workers can fix, or build for them, they are by far the most demanding and least appreciative.

Maybe she thinks most Americans are investment bankers and politicians?

this mindset, right here, is the definition of “privilege”. they don’t build anything. all they do is leach and extract.

Self-sufficiency in every area of the economic spectrum seems like a worthwhile goal to me. HVAC, toilet paper, antibiotics, food supplies, steel, basic materials, bullets, automobiles… yanno, everything. It doesn’t mean we can’t trade but we should be secure in our homeland.

Keeping folks unemployed and on assistance is essential to maintaining their constituency. Letting us live and thrive on our own is an existential threat to their entire platform.
