Broadcaster Doorsteps Tulip Siddiq Over Bangladesh Investigation

Sky News has doorstepped Tulip Siddiq again today with some questions around their recent harrowing report into torture complexes allegedly run by her aunt Sheikh Hasina’s regime. The MP was asked three questions:

• Are you concerned about torture allegations involving your aunt?
• Have you been contacted by Bangladeshi authorities?
• Are you concerned that your aunt has been involved in torture?

Siddiq was silent after Guido reached out to her regarding a landmark UN report concluding her aunt’s regime murdered children. An investigation by the Anti-Corruption Commission is ongoing and properties owned by Tulip have been seized by Bangladeshi courts. A travel ban has also been imposed on her. She denies all allegations for her part. Interim leader Muhammad Yunus said an extradition could be on the cards to face corruption charges.
