Bombing Iran ‘will set off a war, and it will be America’s war,’ with thousands of American deaths

Tucker Carlson had a dire warning for the president as he cautioned against the one action that would “almost certainly result in thousands of American deaths.”

There remained no love lost for warmongering neocons where the political commentator was concerned as some have been calling to bring Iran’s nuclear aspirations to an end through force. Now, as President Donald Trump warned of “dire” consequences for the Islamist regime as proxies took credit for attempting to strike U.S. forces, Carlson cut to the chase in warning about sparking a war with Iran.

“It’s worth pointing out that a strike on the Iranian nuclear sites will almost certainly result in thousands of American deaths at bases throughout the Middle East, and cost the United States tens of billions of dollars,” the commentator posted to X on Monday. “The cost of future acts of terrorism on American soil may be even higher.”

“Those aren’t guesses. Those are the Pentagon’s own estimates,” he continued. “A bombing campaign against Iran will set off a war, and it will be America’s war. Don’t let the propagandists lie to you.”

Carlson’s warning came hours after the president issued a statement against the aggression of the Iran-backed Houthis, who’d taken responsibility over the weekend for targeting the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier and its strike group in the Red Sea.

“Let nobody be fooled! The hundreds of attacks being made by Houthi, the sinister mobsters and thugs based in Yemen, who are hated by the Yemeni people, all emanate from, and are created by, IRAN,” said Trump on Truth Social. “Any further attack or retaliation by the ‘Houthis’ will be met with great force, and there is no guarantee that that force will stop there.”

“Iran has played ‘the innocent victim’ of rogue terrorists from which they’ve lost control, but they haven’t lost control. They’re dictating every move, giving them the weapons, supplying them with money and highly sophisticated Military equipment, and even, so-called, ‘Intelligence.’ Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN, and IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire!” expressed the commander-in-chief.

Having previously withdrawn from the Iran nuclear deal, which had been started during the Obama administration and an objective of the Biden administration, Trump sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warning that failure to negotiate would potentially lead to military action against the Islamic Republic.

Emphasizing the stakes, syndicated radio host Mark Levin commented on the buzz around potential action against Iran, first writing on X, “For the apologists of the Iranian terror regime, a nuclear warhead on an intercontinental missile has the capacity to kill MILLIONS of Americans. To pretend otherwise is unconscionable and insane. President Trump is 100% right, Iran must never get a nuclear weapon, I stand with him, period!”

Levin went on to add, “The official position of MAGA: Iran will not get nukes. The President, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, and National Security Advisor all said in the last 24-36 hours that by hook or by crook, Iran must not and will not get nuclear weapons. That is the official position of MAGA!”
