A federal judge who attempted to halt President Donald Trump’s deportation of illegal aliens with gang affiliations is now facing scrutiny over a potential conflict of interest involving his daughter.
Judge James Boasberg, appointed by former President Barack Obama, issued an emergency injunction Saturday night in an effort to stop deportation flights carrying Tren De Agua gang members to El Salvador.
The case was brought forward by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Democracy Forward, both of which have consistently opposed Trump’s immigration policies.

Despite Boasberg’s order, two flights carrying nearly 300 Venezuelan and other gang members had already landed in El Salvador before the ruling could take effect.
Today, the first 238 members of the Venezuelan criminal organization, Tren de Aragua, arrived in our country. They were immediately transferred to CECOT, the Terrorism Confinement Center, for a period of one year (renewable).

The development prompted a response from El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, who has taken a strong stance against gang violence in his country.
Independent journalist Laura Loomer has revealed new details about Boasberg’s connections that raise questions about his impartiality in the case.
Loomer reported that Boasberg’s daughter, Katherine Boasberg, is employed by Partners for Justice, a far-left nonprofit organization that opposes mass incarceration and deportations of illegal aliens, including violent offenders.
“I have exclusively uncovered a massive CONFLICT OF INTEREST involving Judge James Boasberg, the Chief judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia,” Loomer wrote. “Judge Boasberg recently made the decision to prevent the deportation of criminal illegal alien gang members on planes out of the country.”
She continued, “The Judge has a daughter named Katherine Boasberg, who works for a 501(c)(3) organization called Partners for Justice as a ‘capacity-building associate.’ In her position, she helps coordinate and administer grant activities, ensure compliance, and support the delivery of capacity-building programs to strengthen nonprofit infrastructure.”

Partners for Justice has been vocal in opposing legislation that targets criminal gangs, including the Laken Riley Act.
The organization also receives 76% of its funding from U.S. government grants, meaning American taxpayers are indirectly financing its pro-illegal immigration advocacy.
Adding to the controversy, Loomer uncovered a screenshot showing that Partners for Justice’s founder, Emily Galvin-Almanza, tweeted about Judge Boasberg’s ruling blocking Trump’s deportation flights.

The connection between the judge’s ruling and his daughter’s employer has led to calls for his recusal from immigration-related cases.
“Given his daughter’s employment at a group that advocates for criminal illegal aliens & is funded by U.S. government grants, Judge Boasberg should not be granted any sensitive information about deportation flights. His family is a national security threat,” Loomer wrote.
Following Loomer’s report, Katherine Boasberg deleted her Instagram and LinkedIn accounts, further fueling speculation about the validity of the claims.

As concerns grow over judicial bias in immigration cases, the White House is expected to take note of the developing situation.
It remains to be seen whether Boasberg will recuse himself from future deportation cases amid these revelations.
